Our hospital is fully equipped to perform most surgical procedures from spay and neutering to tumor removal and wound management. Prior to surgery each patient recieves a thorough physical examination to identify any existing conditions that might influence anesthesia and recovery. Everyone wants the best outcome after a procedure and since not all problems can be detected on exam, we may suggest other pre-anesthetic screening to give us a more complete picture of internal health to allow us to adjust the safest anesthetic regime specifically to meet your pets needs.
Using state of the art inhalant machines and monitoring devices we can adjust the anesthesia based on cardiac, respiratory and blood pressure readings.
Pain management is a crucial part of our pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative plan. ALL surgical patients will receive the best combination of management suited to the procedure. For elective dental, spay and neuters this may include local nerve blocks, spinal infusions and peripheral numbing to minimize the potential for side effects. Our staff takes pain management seriously and so should you, we will discuss any questions fully prior to any appointments to put you at ease with all procedures.
